RK needs a break and says he wants to marry Madhu properly so they can take their marriage forward. Balraj abducts all but is shot to death by Padmini. The two confess their love RK helps Padmini and Shamsher in getting married. No longer rude to Madhu, RK begins loving her. Shamsher shoots RK Madhu donates her blood to save him. Sikandar's wife Deepali wants her to leave RK but in vain.

Eventually, Madhu begins falling for him.

Rude and egotistical, he becomes hell-bent on ruining her life. RK asks Madhu to marry him which she accepts. She slaps RK who puts forward an offer for Shamsher's treatment as he was badly beaten up on RK's set. Mukund breaks off his engagement thinking Madhu has an affair with RK. RK insinuates that Madhu is his girlfriend and humiliates Padmini and Shamsher's relationship, saying they're having a secret affair for last 20 years. Mukund proposes Madhu and they get engaged. She fights a case of hit and run on behalf of Mukund against Bollywood superstar Rishabh Kundra 'RK' who gets jailed. Hats off to the entire team of Madhubala for creating an Epic show like this.Madhubala 'Madhu' Choudhary was born on a film set and works in a parlour her family members are junior artists in the Mumbai film industry. The first episode itself gained a TRP of 2.8 which has not been achieved by any other fiction show in those years. I can guarantee you wont be disappointed at all. I recommend that anyone reading this review should go ahead and watch it (either on Youtube or on VOOT - the official Colors channel app). My entire family was hooked on to this show. I really wished it could've run longer on TV and I continue to hope that we can have a new season of MEIEJ with Vivian and Drashti. I personally enjoyed season 1 a little more than season 2 but I have to admit that the second season gave a beautiful closure to the story. However, all of the actors playing various characters in the family (Radha, Padmini, Deepali, Trishna, Bittuji, etc.) have done complete justice to their respective roles.

The lead pair is of course the highlight of the show. Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon has the perfect mix of excellent dialogues, great cast, amazing music and a captivating story.

The chemistry they share, in my opinion is magical and unbeatable. Drashti Dhami as Madhubala and Vivian Dsena as RK are a treat to watch. That explains why I still went back and watched all the episodes possible and am here posting my review. Although it has long ended on screen, this show left a lasting imprint on many minds and hearts.
